Few words about Saigon Rides

Traveling in the back seat of the scooter allows you to see Siem Reap from the perspective of residents . It is a quiet city, not very fast and rather sleepy. We invite everyone to discover the differences between individual parts of the city by wandering its streets with our drivers! Each of them has its own atmosphere, is filled with restaurants, cafes, pubs, bars and food stalls. Angkor - życie na wsi na skuterach Vespa

(4h: 8.00-12.00 or 13.00-17.00)

Escape the tourist hub of the heritage town and take to the beautiful countryside that exists in the shadow of Angkor Wat, riding pillion on our modern Vespas. This insightful tour with a local flavour opens up a vast and varied landscape of colourful village, country and rural life almost too remote to reach any other way! We start the tour at APOPO, a landmine clearing organization that’s uses Hero Rats to sniff out the deadly explosives. Then we use small paths and back streets to lead you out of the city. Then we’ll take you to stunning and peaceful pagoda, teach you about Khmer spiritual belief systems, and organize a Buddhist blessing. We’ll then meet the locals and gain a fascinating insight into the patterns of daily life that have changed very little since the time of the temples. We’ll meet a family of rattan weavers, taste delicious sticky rice grilled in bamboo, meet a local medicine man, and much more! This day tour is off the beaten path, so you’ll find that there’s rarely another tourist in sight. We stop at a local family house surrounded by rice paddies. Here we sip on a cold coconut or a local beer, meet the family and spend time with their friendly water buffaloes before returning to the city. You’ll definitely return with a smile!

Zapomniane świątynie - wycieczka poza Angkor na skuterach Vespa

(7h: 7.30-14.30)

This exciting tour is perfect for those who have done the highlights and now want to experience the true mystic of Angkor even further from the crowds. We follow lost paths and hidden trails to take you on a journey that spans the 400-year temple building history of Angkor. We start at the original Mountain Temple of Angkor. The stunning panorama helps us to understand why the king relocated his capital to this location. This is the only view where one can see Angkor Wat itself protruding from the jungle. Our Vespas act as time travelling machines as we whizz you from the first built temple, through the jungle, past hidden temples and ancient cities, across a suspension bridge until we arrive at the Terrace of the Elephants, built by the most famous and last of the temple building kings Jayaverman VII. It is an absolute must for those seeking a truly unique and magical Angkor experience off the beaten track!

Wycieczka po Angkor na skuterach Vespa

(6h: 7.30-13.30)

As the stunning temples of Angkor get busier with tourists, buses, cars and tuk tuk’s the magic seems to be declining. Our Vespa Tour of Angkor is fast emerging as the most original and exciting way to dodge the crowds and enjoy Angkor – the way it deserves to be experienced!

On this adventure, we visit the major highlights of Angkor Wat, the walled city of Angkor Thom, the Bayon and Ta Prohm (the “Tomb Raider” temple), as well as some lesser known gems.

The most important temples are always busy nowadays, but our tour focuses not only on the temples, but also the amazing surroundings.

We dodge the big buses by leaving the busy roads behind using hidden trails through the jungle, villages and rice fields. These villages and trails have existed since the time of the temples and it’s a unique experience that visitors on 4 wheels simply cannot recreate! We guarantee you will love the temples, however, it’s the ride on our jazzy Vespas past ancient ruins, through the jungle and along ancient city walls that becomes the real highlight!

Angkor o wschodzie słońca na skuterach Vespa

(8h: 4.40-13.00)

Our Angkor Sunrise combines this magical moment with all of the highlights usually associated with our acclaimed Angkor tour! But in true Vespa Adventure fashion we do things differently to ensure a unique and unforgettable experience that will stay with you forever! Upon entering the archaeological park, we separate ourselves from the other tourists and take you to a hidden and seldom used entrance. There is silence as we cross the lotus filled moat under the moon and the stars. The silence is broken by the early morning chorus of the birds and insects as the sun begins to rise. Still we find ourselves alone until we reach the other side where all the other sunrise visitors are lying in wait with their cameras ready. Your guide will lead you to the best photo spots before retreating once again from the crowds to enjoy what needs to be a peaceful moment of reflection at this World Heritage site. Once the sun has done its thing we then venture into the world’s largest religious building for a guided tour. This is followed by a tasty breakfast (local or western) and a fresh coffee. We then continue to the walled city of Angkor Thom, the Bayon and Ta Prohm (the “Tomb Raider” temple), as well as some lesser known gems. We dodge the big buses by leaving the busy roads behind using hidden trails through the jungle, villages and rice fields – a unique experience that visitors on 4 wheels simply cannot recreate! We then return you to your hotel in time for lunch, with the rest of your day to enjoy!

FAQ, which is what you ask most often

Each of our trips is worth the price. Most companies that provide similar services smuggle in hidden costs without providing the highest level of service. With SaigonRides you can be sure that our goal is not reaching into your wallet. Each of the trips also helps local families with whom we cooperate. If you are interested, please contact us!

Drivers are Vietnamese who have been driving for at least 5 years. They have experience in everyday driving in very heavy traffic, some of them work professionally as drivers.

Of course. We have already hosted many small guests delighted on trips on motorbikes. Children can travel alone or, if they are smaller, together with a parent, on one motorcycle. On trips with children we can also modify stops (and to our "menu" we can add: coconut ice cream, desserts, more fruit).

Whether you are 7 or 70 years old, our trips are for everyone! Saigon Rides is a comfortable and safe way to explore the city.

Trips take place regardless of the weather, drivers have raincoats for everyone. Of course, we will not travel in heavy rains, but wait in one of the eateries with treats. After the downpour, we will continue our journey.

Of course. Vietnamese cuisine is extremely "friendly" for vegetarians and vegans, offering a whole bunch of dishes that will be suitable for your diet. We recommend private trips in this situation, where we can adjust all stops (eateries with food) to your eating preferences.

We provide pickup from any hotel in District 1.

We strongly recommend full footwear (not flip-flops) and loose outfit. We avoid taking backpacks and bags, we won't need them. In Saigon during the winter for very sensitive to cold, a thin long sleeve may be useful, in Hanoi in November - March it is necessary to adjust the clothing to the temperature (long pants and jacket).

The tour fee is the only guarantor for your Vietnamese adventure on two wheels.
We offer several payment methods to our guests:

  • Bank transfer (to an account in USD, EUR or PLN)
  • PayPal or other online payment system (+ 5%)
  • Revolut transfer

Canceling or changing the date:

Unfortunately, we cannot provide refunds to people who have not previously notified us of their plans. If you want to cancel an earlier paid trip, please contact us by phone or e-mail.
