We will meet in the hotel lobby at 9:00 am to go out onto the streets of the city as soon as possible and experience with all senses the positive energy of Bangkok . We'll start richly ... and see 150 million USD in one piece of gold - a statue of the Golden Buddha . An interesting fact is that for 200 years the statue was covered with a layer of plaster to protect it from being looted. It was only during maintenance work in the 20th century that its true shape and value was discovered - 5 tonnes of gold !

After such a view, you will not be impressed by the prices of some delicacies at the next point of the trip - Chinatown . Here we can taste shark fin soups or edible bird nests (from USD 25 to USD 100 per bowl!). Fortunately, founded in the eighteenth century, the district is also famous for its delicious and cheap Chinese steamed dumplings and you can't miss it.

Relaxed we will get to know the largest palace buildings complex of the King of Thailand . Built in 1782, it was the seat of the king and the entire state administration until the early 20th century. Important national celebrations are currently taking place here. In the palace, we will also see the temple Wat Phra Kaew with an inconspicuous (66cm) statue of the Emerald Buddha , which is the most important destination of pilgrimages of faithful from all over the country.

When trying the variety at the ubiquitous street food stalls, it's important to remember that during our trip the time will come for the right lunch - and it's worth leaving some space for dishes of famous Thai cuisine world-wide .

Bangkok is crossed by the Menam River and numerous canals , so we invite you to cruise on traditional long stern boats on the canals of the right bank Thonburi district . The first stop we will make at the Temple of Dawn Wat Arun , which is the oldest temple in Bangkok and is known for five towers ( prang ) all covered with decorative porcelain tiles. During the further cruise through the Thonburi district canals we will be able to see the old wooden buildings of this part of Bangkok and try to spot living on the banks ... dragons!

After returning ashore (around 17.00) we will head to the hotel, but before we do, we suggest you join - or basically take the elevator - a drink on the 84th floor of the Bayioke Tower , from where there is a fantastic view of the city (payable additional 400THB / person).
