Enjoy shopping in the Bangkok area - the authentic, Thailand's largest floating market Damnoen Saduak . The entire marketplace is located on a 32-kilometer channel connecting the rivers: Tacheen and Mae Klong . It is the remains of a nineteenth-century canal system in the Bangkok area, which lost its significance after the expansion of roads and was buried in many places.

There will be a cruise among sampans , i.e. traditional wooden boats - stalls, on which we will see and probably try tropical fruit , coconut ice cream or even hot snacks . With bellies full of delicacies and backpacks full of souvenirs, we will see the most famous bridge of Thailand located on the Kwai river, made famous by the movie titled "Bridge on the Kwai River ". The truth is that for the needs of the film another wooden bridge was built, in Sri Lanka , but its plot refers to the true story associated with the real one we will walk on.

During World War II, these areas were occupied by the Japanese, who decided to build an over 400-kilometer rail route from Burma to Bangkok . About 250,000 people were "employed" for this murderous job. prisoners, of which over 100,000 died and that's why this line was called the Death Railway .

In addition to the famous bridge, we will also see other objects related to this route, i.e. the wooden Tam Krasae Viaduct and caves in which the prisoners who built it lived in terrible conditions. By bus we will return to your hotel in Bangkok.
